Product Description:
This pendant represents the endless continuity of love. Legend has it that the Claddagh design was created by Richard Joyce from the Irish fishing village of An Cladach. Joyce was captured by pirates and sold into the service of a Turkish goldsmith. When finally set free, he returned to Ireland and created the hands (friendship), crown (loyalty), and heart (love) design for his waiting, faithful sweetheart. The lead-free pewter pendant is on a leather cord. Decorated with green or blue enamel.
